Badger Anti-Bug Balm

This product is as effective as any other on the market in repelling mosquitoes, black flies and other biting insects.  It has two features, however, that other such products do noto have.  First, it’s absolutely safe, and, secondly, it smells good.

We used it on our recent vacation to Mississippi, and we can attest to its effectiveness and its pleasant smell.

The manufacturers explain how the balm works:

We use Eucalyptus Citriadora, which has a high “citronella” content but a milder, more pleasant scent than citronella.   We also use Tea Tree Oil and Rosemary, both antiviral, antibacterial and antiseptic with insect repellent properties.  We add a unique combination of three “fixative” essential oils:  Patchouli, Gum Benzoin and Sandalwood.  Balsam Fir, Lemongrass and Orange round out the blend.  Aside from smelling great and being soothing to dry skin, the three fixatives contain heavier molecules that bond with the lighter, more aromatic molecules of the other essential oils which makes for a more long-lasting scent.  After one or two initial applications, bugs back off for hours.
